Continuous flow nitration of 3-[2-chloro-4-(trifluoromethyl) phenoxy] benzoic acid and its chemical kinetics within droplet-based microreactors

چکیده
• The synthesis of Acifluorfen by continuous flow nitration was performed within droplet-based microreactor. effects operating parameters were characterized hydrodynamics and thermodynamics. apparent intrinsic kinetic model established. Aromatic still faces unmet technical challenges in relation to being heterogeneous highly exothermic. In this work, a aromatic developed with mixed acid microreactors. key on the 3-[2-chloro-4-(trifluoromethyl)phenoxy] benzoic acid. optimized reaction temperature, M-ratio N/S found be 308 K, 1.6 0.57, respectively. Under these conditions, conversion 83.03% selectivity 79.52% achieved. addition acetic anhydride improved both solubility etherate organic phase absorbability water produced from reaction, leading increase conversion, however increased by-products accordingly reduced selectivity. Pseudo-homogeneous kinetics models rate constant, supporting second-order assumption. calculated results based good agreement experimental results.
